Many teenagers are sexualy active. About 7 out of 10 teenage girls get pregnent before they graduate highschool. This has changed many teenage girls life. Having boyfriends and being sexually active could be end up having sex and getting pregnant. On MTV, there is a show called 16 and Pregnant and it is showing how many girls are pregnant while they are in highschools and how they are having tough times dealing with life. They have no idea what they got into after they gave birth to their daughter/son. Hopefully that this show could send out a message to the teenage girls that are sexually active and thought falsely about think that they are pregnant. Many girls think that they are so cool that they are pregnant and that they are the best thing that they will have a baby at age 16. People would need to think about to have sex no matter what espically with teenage pregnancies. This could ruin the mothers reputation in their lives. Another show there is Teen Mom, which is about teenage mothers live their life. They are stuggling in a way that their husband/ boyfriends are acting like babies themselves then the accutal babies. People will need to think about having sex and using the right protection in the condoms that they use.

I agree with your statement about the rise of teenage pregnancies. It is truly unfortunate, for it shows that the id of many teens is taking over their lives. However, I highly doubt that seven out of ten teenagers get pregnant before their highschool graduation. The television shows such as Sixteen and Pregnant show the consequences of unprotected sex, and hopefully discourages such as act before marriage or adulthood.
ReplyDeleteI don't think girls think it's actually cool to be pregnant. They just don't care about what happens as long as they "feel good." But this isn't the first time teen pregnancy occurs. Although it may not be seen here, but in other countries it's normal for a young girl to marry. In Mideival times young girls would marry as well. Motives have changed why girls get pregnant early. Today's motive is lack of knowledge but then again, I think it's common knowledge that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy.
